4 Unmissable Charity Events in Byron Bay

In Byron, there’s always something fun, exciting and often out of the ordinary going on for visitors and locals to get involved with.  We wanted to share some of our favourite charity events you should strongly considering joining, or at least coming along to watch and support. They’re all great days out and help raise money for some fantastic causes.

1. Byron Bay Paddle, January – It only seems right that first on the list is Byron’s very own annual surfing charity event. Each January surfers gather to have a fun filled day and cross our stunning bay for charity. The surf goes from Wategos Beach over to the Byron Bay Surf Life Saving Club on Main Beach. The event dates back to 2009 and has seen more than 1000 participants take to their boards across the bay since.

You can enter solo or in teams of up to 20 people. This is a non-competitive social event so you can take it at your own pace.
