Out for the day and looking for a tasty cheap lunch? Banh Mi takeaway is our go-to. Where French meets Vietnamese, this local’s favourite is the perfect pitstop for jam-packed, fresh and flavourful baguettes and rice paper rolls. You’ve got to try their signature Crispy Pork Roast.

Best Italian

Byron is home to several great Italian eateries, but must-dos  would have to be Il Buco for the best authentic pizza and Di Vino for incredible handmade pasta and true Italian comfort food.

Jonson’s Italian Bar and Cucina is a former winner of the Australian Good Food Guide award for Best Italian Food in the Northern Rivers region. This chic restaurant is definitely worth checking out.

 Best for vegans

For scrumptious raw cakes and treats, head to Combi. This instagramable spot is ideal for a casual bite or refuelling after a long day shopping.

We love No Bones if you’re looking for something a little more special. This plant-powered place is making serious waves in town, only using locally sourced, seasonal and organic produce.

Also make sure you swing by Orgasmic Falafel for the best falafel you’ve ever tasted!

Best cocktails

Light Years is a fun and vibrant bar and diner, offering modern Asian food, amazingly good cocktails and party vibes till late.

And last but not least on our list is Miss Margarita. This colourful and welcoming Mexican joint always has a queue out the door. With a renowned selection of cocktails, generously packed tacos and homemade nachos, it’s no surprise why.
